After spending 8 years in Los, Angeles, Emmitt James in 2023 returned back to the city that loved him first, Milwaukee. James has opened for legendary acts such as The Pharcyde and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) as well as contemporary acts like Duckwrth, Cuco, Rejjie Snow, and more. James is a well celebrated performer known for his jazz rap fusion featuring a live band.

Dak duBois

Blending flavors of modern indie pop, 70’s funk/soul, and psychedelia of the ‘60s/’70s, dak duBois uses his intricately guitar-infused melodies and well-placed chilled-out poppy vocals to unfold anecdotes of a blurred psyche within a changing dynamic of society.

Dak duBois is the solo project of Milwaukee-based artist Dak Wright. His body of work is written, recorded, mixed, and mastered in his apartment-turned-studio in Riverwest (Milwaukee, WI). He performs live shows with a rotating cast of local musicians (dak duBois & the flavour brigade), where sets bring gunk-driven jammy overtones and memory-worthy experiences filled with high-level crowd engagement.
