Lupita Infante

Lupita Infante, a critically acclaimed Mexican-American singer-songwriter and granddaughter of legendary Pedro Infante, is redefining ranchera music for a new generation. A two-time GRAMMY® nominee, her latest album Amor Como En Las Películas De Antes (2023) earned a nomination for Best Musica Mexicana Album at the 2024 GRAMMYs®. Signed with Sony Music Latin, Lupita blends traditional and modern mariachi, drawing inspiration from Mexico's golden age of cinema. A UCLA ethnomusicology graduate, she has broken boundaries to become a leading female voice in Musica Mexicana, earning accolades like the Mayor Excellence Award from Downey, CA.

Viva Southwest Mariachi

Viva Southwest Mariachi celebrates the richness of Mariachi music and culture by encouraging its academic study, opening career doors for youth, and showcasing its excellence in a family friendly festival. In the fall, a select group of outstanding students from across Colorado—known as Mariachi Estelares de Colorado, an all-state youth Mariachi ensemble—performs as part of the festival’s showcase, opening for the headliner, Lupita Infante.
