Join us for an evening of flowers, ghosts, and circus freaks at Flowerpunk Folk Night. This evening has been put together by Philly folk artists Laura and the Storm and Viewfinder as the Milwaukee stop on their midwest “Stormfinder” tour. Joined by local songwriters and legends The Jesse Garwood Club and Jena Novelle, 11/11 is destined to be an unforgettable show.

Viewfinder: Viewfinder is the folk rock project of Brad Merrell. Based out of Philadelphia. Originally from the carousel capital of the world. Taker of photos, writer of songs. Folk Rock for Rock Folks. Acoustic guitar, sometimes accordion, sometimes instruments without names. He dislikes intolerant people, and, of course, people who are different than himself. He’s also a hypocrite.

Laura and the Storm: Laura and the Storm makes Banjolele Flowerpunk music. Thickly layered lyricism, quirky indie folk for fairies and ghosts. Take your daily dose of dirt.

Jesse Garwood: With their indie pop/rock sound and cut wrenching lyrics, the Jesse Garwood Club knows just how to make you laugh, cry, yearn and remember all at the same time. Based in Milwaukee, Jesse Garwood is a prolific, self-taught songwriter and poet inspired by her own life experiences and by artists such as Taylor Swift, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Peach Pit.

Jenna Novelle: Jenna Novelle is a Milwaukee alt-folk songwriter carrying the tradition of American storytelling. Heavily influenced by traditional folk & blues artists, Novelle plays a four-stringed tenor guitar which adds to her warm, familiar sound. Her first album, Willow, was released in September.
