The Tyler Hamlin Quartet is a fusion group with a punchy and thunderous sound. Drummer/bandleader Tyler Hamlin has spent most of his time as a musician playing in pop/rock bands and being a sideman to solo artists. As a former member of the Denver-based bands Summer Bedhead and Tireshoe, Tyler Hamlin has played shows across the Denver area at theater-sized venues, and has written and recorded emotionally intense music that captured and intrigued audiences.

Though much of his time performing has been spent playing music of other genres, Tyler Hamlin has always maintained and fostered a deep love for jazz and fusion. Regardless of what music his bands have been playing, he’s always been influenced by Snarky Puppy, Dave Weckl, Chick Corea, Masayoshi Takanaka, Ghost-Note, and many others. The Tyler Hamlin Quartet perfectly encapsulates the intensity and emotion that is present in all of the music that Tyler Hamlin has participated in, but now that same undeniable energy is communicated through the eclectic genre of fusion.
