Last year we featured these two incredible artists during our inaugural Fest-o-Matic series at Chickie Wah Wah and I hope we can host them every year, because we believe these artists embody the essence of why Louisiana music is so special.  I think it’s best if they are heard together; they bring out the best in each other.  This year they are playing the first weekend of Fest-o-Matic with their fellow Lafayette musical brother Sonny Landreth, but we also wanted them to have their own show where they could stretch out during the second weekend of the series, and we thought they would be the only act who could follow the legendary Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham.  On Thursday May 2nd at 10:30 pm, Chickie Wah Wah is proud to present West Louisiana’s most versatile musical raconteur CC Adcock along with the one and only Tommy McLain (83 years young and singing better than ever).  They will feature songs off Tommy’s remarkably beautiful and universally lauded 2022 recording “ I Ran Down Every Dream” (which was produced by CC), Tommy’s first recording of new songs in 40 years, hopefully a few Lil Band o’Gold classics, and whatever else Tommy wants to sing! 

Fleshing out their beautiful sounds will be the legendary Dickie Landry on saxophone. It’s going to be a special show.
