Jon Hyde's records are chock full of catchy, melodic rock and indie pop in the vein of groups such as Jayhawks and Wilco - you can even hear a little Lennon & McCartney in there - all infused with his distinctively warm voice and lyrical stories that pull you in closer. In addition to his four solo albums, the recent The Sad Lights released by Drums & Wires Recordings in early 2024, Jon has brought his vocal and multi-instrumental talents to recordings by artists such as Karl Blau, Laura Veirs, The Walkabouts, Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter, Transmissionary Six, Jim White, 1Uppers, and many others.
