Jimi Hendrix released his first single in December, 1966, and rock music was never the same again. He was instantly iconic, a soulful psychedelic revolutionary who redefined guitar, in a recording career that lasted only a few short years.
Over a half century later, Hendrix’s lamp burns brighter than ever, and his catalog continues to be explored and celebrated by musicians worldwide.
Known for his soulful looping and explosive improvisational guitar playing, CT based singer-songwriter Darian Cunning is excited to present a very special tribute concert to Jimi Hendrix, on December 18th, at Bridgeport CT’s Park City Music Hall.
“The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Darian Cunning & Friends” will spotlight all eras and styles from Hendrix’s songbook, from deep cuts to radio hits. Joining Darian for the show are bassist Rich Zurkowski (Everybody Wins, Jen Durkin & The Business) and internationally touring drummer Drew McKeon (Michael Bolton, Hall & Oates, Seal), who both share Darian’s improvisational agility and musical prowess.
Located in the heart of historic Black Rock, Park City Music Hall is a destination venue for area music lovers, with a full bar, delicious food, and state of the art sound and lights.
