THE BRIEFS
—
Like a molotov cocktail hurled at the new millennium's bland alt-rock scene, The Briefs exploded onto the punk landscape 25 years ago with their debut "Hit After Hit." Now, these bleach-blonde Seattle troublemakers continue to set stages ablaze from Vegas to Berlin. Fresh off a European tour and armed with forthcoming 7" "High Society b/w You Move Me," they're proving punk's not dead—it's just getting weirder, baby. To cap off a momentous 2024, the Briefs have reissued their sought-after first single "Poor and Weird b/w Rotten Love" while simultaneously gearing up for a US West Coast tour this fall. Five albums deep and countless bottles of peroxide later, these idiot savants continue to urge a new generation to grab a junk guitar, a pair of second-hand shades, and join the punk rock mutation!
THE DROWNS
—
For the better part of the past decade, Seattle punk rockers have built their fanbase & reputation the old fashioned way: show by show, record by record, individual by individual. Relentless touring across the US & Europe and an uncompromising work ethic have forged them into one of the most in-demand fan-favorites on the international punk scene.
The trio - singer-guitarist Rev Peters, singer-bassist Andy Wylie, and drummer Jake Margolis - fuse the grit of classic street punk with something more universal: an uncanny talent for hooks & melody that recalls bands like THE CLASH, COCK SPARRER, and HOT WATER MUSIC, whose appeal transcends rigid genre distinctions. Everyone is invited to this party.
LOUD GRAVES
—
Loud Graves has arrived—raw, urgent, and impossible to ignore. Hailing from Oakland, CA, the band featuring Sabrina Worthington (vocals), Dominic Davi (bass), Ilya Slabodkin (guitar), Matt Diamat (guitar), and Jason Carillo (drums)—is charging headfirst into the scene with the release of their self-titled debut on Rad Girlfriend Records. Blending the grit of East Bay punk with melodic sensibilities and a haunting intensity, Loud Graves feels like a rallying cry from a band that knows exactly who they are and what they want to say.
Formed in the heart of the East Bay Area, Loud Graves doesn’t neatly fit into any one box. Their sound is punk at its core but filtered through a haunted lens. Equal parts cathartic and confrontational. The band’s debut delivers a set of songs that feel both lived-in and urgent, full of sharp hooks, searing guitars, and lyrics that cut deep. With roots in DIY ethics and a sound that evokes comparisons to bassist Davi’s other band, Tsunami Bomb, but also classic East Bay Area bands like Dance Hall Crashers and Tilt.
