Society of the Silver Cross is a Seattle-based band led by husband and wife songwriters Joe Reineke and Karyn Gold-Reineke. Their sound has been described as haunting, gothic graceland, twisted americana and even “yogic metal”. Inspired by the textures and tones of India, they weave drone-like chants and melodies throughout their songs. Their latest album Festival of Invocations (2024), explores themes of life, death, and beauty, earning praise from Rolling Stone and SPIN.
With captivating full-band live performances they redefine Gothic music with mystery, romance, and spiritualism. The core instruments are 12-string acoustic guitar, harmonium, B3 organ, shahi baaja (Indian autoharp) and rare and esoteric synthesizers. The result is an otherworldly blend of east and west mixed into a lush state of musical bliss that veers into dark and cinematic moods.

The ROSE HAZE is the musical project of Kate Ramsey, an Ohio-born, Oakland-based artist who describes her music as “limitless sonic exploration.” Others have coined it as “otherworldly in a spaced out way” (Glide), “saturated with lush synth pads” (Petal Motel), and “dramatic, majestic rock” (The Stranger).
Ramsey is a mercurial songwriter with a penchant for experimental soundscapes. She emits an ethereal feminine prowess and powerful panache, rarely executes the same set twice, and is always pushing to improvise within the sonic space. Her dynamic live performances consist of moody, ethereal vocals, and any combination of synths, guitar, bass, harp, or flute. Best described as idiosyncratic, vulnerable, and unabashedly honest, she is a well-traveled artist who expresses the oddities, woes, and euphoria of life through her music.
During her formative musical years, Ramsey collaborated with Lisa Bella Donna to record and perform her first two albums. In 2019, after a long spiritual renewal in Europe and on Kaua’i, she moved to California and met the musical love of her life Ruben Gonzales. They were inseparable in their sonic adventure until Gonzales suddenly passed away in 2024. His spirit lives on through his music and in the hearts of many.
Ramsey is now on a transformational healing journey, continues to evolve her craft, and strives to go deeper every day as an artist. Her experimental compositions are published under her full name Kathleen Theresa Ramsey.
