Rain Against Your Window:

A project by singer/songwriter and producer, Ceej Burton originally from Houston, TX. All songs are self recorded live to cassette tape.

Heloise began as a ‘trained monkey’, performing piano, voice, acting, french horn/trumpet, & writing poetry for awards & validation, from age 5 through high school. Choosing to pursue a “regular college” route, she somehow still ended up messing around on guitar long enough to write songs starting in her 30’s, and never stopping. The folk tunes of her childhood summer camp tend to filter into her songwriting, as do the influences of the 60’s, from classic rock to Dylan to Joni.. and the greats of the 90’s, from hip-hop to pop to Cowboy Junkies & Mazzy Star. She has performed live in NYC, Brooklyn, Jersey City - & is thrilled to now call Seattle’s music scene her home. She crafts songs she hopes will be classic enough to be covered, while storytelling in ways that resonate between deep feeling and comfort. While the making of her album got stalled during Covid, she hopes to be back in the recording studio in 2027. Heloise has also been a visual artist & illustrator for many years, taking commissions & selling her artwork. Her work can be seen at www.jheloise.com & @j.heloise.official. Her mantra & fervent wish is to never stop creating.
