Peg is the songwriting project of Seattle-based drummer Sheridan Riley. Peg's influences range from Robert Wyatt, The Breeders, Scott Walker, Guided By Voices, The Cleaners From Venus, and more. Peg's live instrumentation often varies from show to show, but tonight will feature guitar, keys, and slide guitar with special guests Rachel Ewan and Norman Robbins.
Elias Hampton is a Seattle-based guitarist who has worn quite a number of different hats in recent years (literally and figuratively!). He finds it quite curious that his activities have inspired some of his friends and colleagues to refer to him with titles like "multi-instrumentalist," "producer," "singer-songwriter," and sometimes even employing the words "astrologer" and "film composer". Some of his proudest influences include Guided by Voices, Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Hermann Hesse, dreams, myth, and stained-glass windows. Elias is excited to present an intimate night of music at the Rabbit Box alongside a cast of friends and collaborators who will join him on the stage in different configurations. He really couldn't be happier to be joined tonight by Sweetgum and Peg!
Sweetgum currently enjoys writing fun songs with “psychedelic”, “folk”, “rock” and “pop” elements and has an immense blast weaving and playing them. Currently working on the fifth album, the latest release from 2024 entitled “Moth Math” can be found on Bandcamp as well as other streaming platforms.
