Masta Killa, one of the original members of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan & his DJ are in Seattle on his Balance Tour album release at The Rabbit Box Theatre for one night only!

"My hip hop name was given to me by the Clan. “Master Killer” is actually the name of a Shaw Brothers kung-fu movie. In it, the main character, who is not from Shaolin, studies Kung-Fu at Shaolin to go back and help his people who are oppressed by the government. I’m not actually from Shaolin, I’m from Brooklyn, but I went to Staten Island and learned the Wu-Tang style of rhyming, so my story kind of relates to the Master Killer story. Now, you hear the name ‘Masta Killa’ and it sounds violent, but it simply means to be a master of your craft. Kill doesn’t always mean something negative. When someone does something perfectly we say “He killed it.” That’s all I want to do. Each time I write a lyric or perform I want to be a master of my craft so I can make you to say I killed it."
