Magic In The Other is a Sacramento-based avant-rock trio crafting music that’s as infectiously danceable as it is profoundly introspective. Led by drummer, lead vocalist, and songwriter Ezra Lipp (ALO, Phil Lesh & Friends), the band merges intricate lyricism—rooted in vulnerability and human connection—with fearless musical creativity. Joined by the fiery and imaginative guitarist Daniel “Dellow” Roholt and the dynamic bassist Alex Reiff, MITO delivers a sound that defies categorization, blending soaring jazz lines, African-inspired rhythms, soul-infused melodies, and the raw adventurousness of rock and roll.
Emerging in 2017 as an outlet for Lipp’s songwriting, MITO combined a love for improvisational fluidity with a focus on stellar songcraft. The original trio earned accolades for their dynamic live shows and the thoughtful, deeply human nature of their music. After a hiatus beginning in 2020 due to geographical shifts in the band, the band was reborn in 2024 with a fresh lineup and renewed creative energy, building on their signature sound while exploring new artistic horizons.
Anchored by Lipp’s achingly truthful lyrics, which explore the depths of the human condition with clarity and emotion, MITO’s music stretches audiences, engaging both the heart and the mind. Whether through melodic anthems or spontaneous improvisations, Magic In The Other continues to push the boundaries of their sound, creating music that feels simultaneously fresh and timeless.

Ginger Molasses is a five-piece "thrift store rock" band based in Nevada City, California, blending the soul and grit of early '70s bangers with a contemporary edge. Their sound recalls flipping through your cool uncle’s record bin in the garage, discovering albums you never knew existed, but, once unearthed, feel completely essential.
At the helm is wild child Tawnee Kendall, who has been described as “lightning in a bottle, unleashed.” If Bowie and the Wilson sisters from Heart had a kid, it might be Kendall, as she blends searing rock vocals with a theatrical performance style shimmering with sparkles and fringe.
Ginger Molasses turns every performance into a dance party with their dynamic range of material, from sultry grooves reminiscent of Rumors-era Fleetwood Mac, to up-tempo soul-jams that recall Ike and Tina Turner, Little Feat, and Joe Cocker. The band has been electrifying stages across Northern California, sharing bills with bands like Boot Juice, Gold Souls, and Dead Winter Carpenters at iconic venues such as Bottom of the Hill (SF), Boom Boom Room (SF), Miner’s Foundry (Nevada City), and Truckee’s Music in the Park.
With their whimsical, at times absurdist, approach to lyrics and marketing, the band continues to build an engaged community of fans across its media platforms, bringing the party wherever they touch down. So bust out those perfect vintage bell bottoms you scored at the Goodwill, and get ready to cut a (shag) rug.

Songwriter Maya Elise leads an endearing band whose music is a warm expression of harmonic solace with stories that speak to the vulnerable curiosity of our lives. The sweeping honesty inherent in this group’s music can move a crowd to both silence and jubilation. The band’s self-released album Songs For The Breakdown is the pinnacle of Maya Elise & The Good Dream’s welcoming and genuine folk music to date. For those in need of the soft, optimistic spark of a new friendship, journey or community, Maya Elise & The Good Dream’s Songs For The Breakdown will give you that enriching charge. It’s a musical companion during a time where human connection, collective empathy and artful expression feels paramount.
Throughout her time as a solo artist, Maya released her debut album, “The Way I Say Your Name” in December 2018, taking the listener back in time with a true classic folk feel, each song gently lifting a weight off of your shoulders. With the addition of her band, “The Good Dream,” Maya’s sound has evolved and expanded into an amplified folk-pop world, with clever and imaginative lyrics, crystal clear production, and harmonies to last you your lifetime. The band’s new single, “Better Bird” was released February, 2022, along with a lively music video, in anticipation of a Spring 2023 album release.
Maya Elise & The Good Dream recently went on their first co-headlining European tour with Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart), and have played at many iconic Bay Area venues, including Great American Music Hall, Swedish American Music Hall, & Cafe Du Nord, toured around the United States to over 40 cities, and have shared the stage with More Fatter, Rainbow Girls, & Prateek Kuhad. Their music has been featured in publications such as Atwood Magazine, Glide Magazine & Amplify Her Voice.
