Whether tearing it up on stage or laying it down in the studio, professional pianist and composer Adam Bodine thrives in a variety of roles and realms. A diligent bandleader and creative arranger, Adam has refreshingly open sensibilities and an expressive authenticity that especially comes to life through his original instrumental music. His expanding discography reflects his evolution and curiosity as an artist, with six albums in the last eight years receiving acclaim and airplay nationally and abroad. These dynamic recordings intermingle jazz, classical, rock, funk, and more, weaving evocative musical narratives that can warm the heart and tickle the imagination.
Undeniable is Adam’s natural musicality and joy of playing live, paired with a charmingly droll sense of humor that creates memorable performances—especially across his home state of Colorado. He’s led ensembles sharing stages with jazz greats like Robert Glasper, Christian McBride, and Ravi Coltrane, while also maintaining a packed freelance schedule. Over the past decade, he’s played thousands of shows with hundreds of groups, subbed with the Colorado Symphony, and worked across musicals, dance, improv, and film. Adam also plays in the house band at Boulder’s nationally syndicated radio show eTown, performing with artists like Rufus Wainwright, Feist, Gregory Alan Isakov, Valerie June, and The War and Treaty.
