Since forming in 2021 as an antidote to the bleak and lonely pandemic world around them, Bay Area’s LOCAL BYLAWS have harnessed pure energy into their brand of ferocious, female-fronted punk rock. Ginger Pennington, Alex Rocheleau, and Tyler Cull, having met online, found an easy alliance when they realized they were all union workers (a UBC carpenter, an IBEW electrician, and a SAG-AFTRA actress), and this connection translated well into the music, lending an all-for-one ethos to their blue collar, glam-yet-gritty debut EP, Working Agreement.

Brea Fournier & the Dream Ballet is a New York City-based four-piece pop-rock/pop-punk band. Composed of graduates from top East Coast music schools the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and The New School, this eclectic collective’s sound has been described as “Paramore, but in the ‘80s” and “Joan Jett attitude meets Joni Mitchell lyricism.” Frontwoman Brea Fournier acts as lead songwriter, whose whimsical, consonant melodies are underscored by the unique edge each individual band member brings to the table. Drummer Sophia Bondi’s Laurel Canyon flair shines through in both her vast percussion skills and her backing vocal harmonies. Bass player Noah Rosner brings a third vocal harmony to the table. As a trained jazz vocalist, he adds a surprising death the the Dream Ballet’s harmonic catalogue, both vocally and through his bass parts, which are as earwormy as the songs themselves. Lead Guitarist Ben Shanblatt, a wildly talented player with a background in jazz and metal, maximizes each songs’s potential through intricate parts that carry the upper emotions of the music. The group met in their early twenties, playing shows around Lower Manhattan in the post-covid NYC arts school scene.

Family Obligation delivers catchy pop melodies dripping with angst, glitter, and distortion. Their nostalgic sound is reminiscent of 90s power pop. Based in San Jose, CA, the band is known for energetic live performances and cat-themed merch. Family Obligation, FO for short, is comprised of singer-songwriter Christie Dierk, guitarist Kevin Ryan, bassist Kyle Lester, and drummer Micah Turney.
