Delving deeper into his original work, listeners of Jon Wirtz have become increasingly mesmerized by his unique sound, which melds acoustic piano with a tasteful use of ethereal effects and emotional crescendos. Drawing upon a variety of influences, Wirtz paints musical portraits with a sustained intensity. Each performance invites listeners into a realm where tradition meets innovation, eroding stylistic boundaries. In 2024 he was recognized as a Most Distinguished Musician at the 2nd Prize level in the IBLA Grand Prize International Music Competition for the title track to his album "Beautiful Illusion."

On this night he will be joined by trumpet extraordinairre Shane Endsley (Kneebody), and low end specialist Charlie Mertens (Rapidgrass). The trio will explore originals and compositions selected to provide listeners with an experience unique from the traditional jazz trio.
