Humbalaya is a voracious Washington D.C. based band performing original melodious funk, rock, and jazz-fusion music in the DMV area. Rooted in the College Park, MD music scene, Humbalaya has amalgamated into one continuous stew of varied musical flavors. Each new member, now totaling seven, has added exciting sonic elements, and the result is a musical dish good enough for the whole family. At one point performing a soothing intimate ballad, at another drawing on high-energy funk grooves, Humbalaya will take you on a journey through a tapestry of musical realms.
