How to Be Human is an indie rock band based in Seattle, Washington, blending reflective lyricism, melodic bass lines, driving percussion, and layered guitar-and-synth textures. The band’s sound is shaped by the dynamic vocal and melodic interplay of Christopher Israel Bishop (vocals, guitar, synth) and Sara Tebeau (vocals, violin, synth), grounded by the warm, expressive bass of Andrew Tisch and the energetic, nuanced drumming of Hatty Campbell.

Drawing from indie rock, dream-pop, post-punk, and modern psych influences, How to Be Human leans into contrast: intimacy and intensity, quiet moments and soaring climaxes, songs that feel immediate, honest, and deeply human.

Performing across the Pacific Northwest, the band delivers live sets that balance vulnerability with energy, offering listeners a space to feel, reflect, and connect.

A lot of what's called alt-country these days consists of indie artists connecting to their country roots.Danny Baker honed his vocal style and guitar skills in honky-tonks and country bars .His current project, Miraco, flips the script, and produces a much more rock-based aggressive sound.

Danny started Miraco in 2024 as a vehicle for songs that didn't quite fit the roadhouses. Scraping and shimmering guitars, grounded by a propulsive, earthy rhythmic foundation. Miraco's songs are more evocative of bands like Hüsker Dü or Son Volt.

His songcraft and vocals are still informed by traditional roots, but the band's sonic palette has been given room to roam, and they're just getting started. Miraco's debut single, a cover of the 2003 alt-rock classic Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, points the way: a thunderous bottom end, feedback-drenched guitars, crisp twangy leads, all topped by Baker's heartfelt pleas – showcase a band confident in its footing as it emerges from the gate.

Salt Horse’s sound is a boot-stomping, harmony-laced blend of Bakersfield country, cowpunk, and British Invasion rock — songs about small victories, bad decisions, and the roads that connect them.
