GREX
----
Grex (Karl Evangelista, Rei Scampavia) is an art rock band based out of Oakland, California. In biological terms, a “grex” is an entity composed of several smaller organisms. Grex (the band) explores the meeting point between fun, delightfully strange psychedelic pop/rock and the dark outer reaches of noise and free jazz.
INNER EAR BRIGADE
----
Inner Ear Brigade (IEB) is an ensemble of musicians based in the San Francisco Bay Area who play a unique mix of progressive rock, jazz, and experimental pop, all delivered through their originally detailed compositions and arrangements. They recently released their 2nd full length album “Dromology”.
FEEFAWFUM
----
Feefawfum is a mathy noise-rock band based in Oakland, CA. The group was formed in Montreal in 2011 by Farley Miller, a drummer who has performed with a variety of outsider indie artists including ex-Unicorn Alden Penner (City Slang) and Ky Brooks (Constellation Records). After relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 2010s, Miller set out to write a new batch of songs that would lean more heavily into his artpunk influences and document his experience navigating the USA’s labyrinthian healthcare system as a type 1 diabetic. Now joined by Kevin Sullivan (bass, vox), Emma Greenbaum (Mellotron, vox), Kelvin Zhang (guitar), and Theo Slavin (guitar), Feefawfum is a hyper-focused freakout careening into the cathartic chorus euphoria of ‘90s alt-rock and post-hardcore.
