Musical Style: Big Band Jazz

This Thanksgiving we are “Thankful for You!” A new FJO band-request show with all our favorite (and we hope yours) music. Take a break and join us to hear the great big band tunes we love, from Basie and beyond.

The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra - featuring Deborah Stafford, is a traditional 18-piece big band that authentically recreates the great Swing-Era music of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich, and more.

This is the REAL DEAL: 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and one of the best jazz singers in the country. Composed of professional musicians and music educators, FJO delivers the highest levels of musicianship with passion and excitement.

Rated “Best Big Band in Denver” by CBS Local, and “One of the 10 Best Jazz Bands in Colorado” by ReverbNation, they excel as a dance band, AND as a concert band, playing in regular rotation at jazz venues on the Front Range.
