Musical Style: Jazz

This special performance celebrates the music of legendary jazz pianist and composer Horace Silver, reimagined through new arrangements by pianist Eric Gunnison. Silver was a pioneering figure in the development of hard bop, known for blending gospel, blues, and Latin influences into a distinctive, soulful sound that helped define modern jazz in the 1950s and beyond. His compositions remain standards of the jazz repertoire, and in this performance, Gunnison brings new life to these classics with his own inventive interpretations
