DOWNWARD

—

A band from Tulsa, Oklahoma with humble beginnings who have set to live beyond musical boundaries. What started as an idea amongst friends quickly became a passion to create music that satisfies all of their overlapping musical interests. The band offers an inspiring sonic take on the realm of alternative and post-hardcore. Downward finds themselves toeing the line between what is seemingly light and airy (reminiscent of Radiohead) and at the same time beautifully crushing (akin to modern luminaries Nothing).

LUNA IVY

—

Luna Ivy is a San Francisco-based trio carving out space where grunge meets shoegaze. Founded by vocalist/guitarist Lees Akard and drummer Bex Castillo, the band later welcomed lead guitarist Nick Pedro, completing a lineup built on instinct, texture, and emotional weight.

Their sound is immediately physical - walls of distorted guitar, reverb thick enough to get lost in, and the kind of angsty, searching energy that feels both intimate and overwhelming. Influences run deep through the DNA of mbv and They Are Gutting a Body of Water, but Luna Ivy channels those reference points into something distinctly their own: washed-out, melodic, and alive.
