Over the past few years the Century comet jazz ensemble has been awarded “Superior” ratings at the Mile High Jazz Festival, UNC Jazz Festival and was selected twice to perform at the CMEA (Colorado Music Educator Association) State Conference at the Broadmoor Hotel as the middle school jazz ensemble to represent the state. The past 2 years we have performed live on KUVO for Colorado gives day. We have also traveled to the Kansas City Jazz Festival, the Jazz Education Network (JEN) national conference in New Orleans, and played at Disneyland. We are excited to perform this concert at Dazzle with Annie Booth who we have commissioned to write a piece for our band.
