Musical Style: Modern Jazz, Hard Bop, a little Hip Hop

Str8 outta 80207! From the heart of Denver and the birthplace of Earth, Wind & Fire, Ron Miles, Dianne Reeves & Javon Jackson, Carl Jackson brings you a tasty mix of the different flavors of modern jazz and hard bop. Mixing electric and acoustic instruments, incredible rhythms and soulful melodies they return to the Dazzle stage after a year of touring and playing in NYC. They will also do a tribute to two great bass players we have lost recently, Charles Burrell (104) and Charnett Moffett (55) who played with Wynton Marsalis and Stanley Jordan.

Carl has toured the world serving our country & playing with military bands. Carl’s memorable tours were work with the NATO band in Naples Italy, he has played with the who’s who in jazz on both Electric and Double Bass. Carl received the MOVSM Volunteer Service award for leading the “World Stage Billy Higgins Jazz Session” for a season in Los Angeles, CA. His current project “Some Where Along The Way” Is just that, a tremendous musical journey with stops all over the world and most major cities in the United States. Let’s welcome Carl Jackson and Concepts to the stage!
