From multiple cities and influences of music, comes a band that has quickly carved their own sonic path. Dark Satellite's three members grew up playing different styles, coming together to form a one of a kind band with a coalescence of riffs and song structures. Mixing various types of rock genres, blues, jazz and experimental indie progressions results in their own unique aesthetic and wall of sound. Their second album "Death of a Classic" is currently available on Alternative Tentacles Records and the band is currently working on their third album set to be released in 2025. Unlike their first album "Alone with Everyone" (2021), “Death of a Classic" was an approach to get back to the basics of stripped down playing. Dark Satellite is a band that plays with emotion, bending their strings while riding the guitar amp feedback, letting the drums be free. If you're looking for a nostalgic powerhouse of a band with sprinkles of timeless inspiration, I'd say look no further than Dark Satellite.

Defying traditional genre and embodying idiosyncrasy, Oakland-based dark pop artists Ilana Magill, Marc Martell, and MJ Gurule join forces to form the project Lady Starbeast. Ilana is the songwriter and vocalist; Marc creates the instrumentation; and together they record and produce.

Ilana combines sultry, powerful vocals with operatic background harmonies, dark, eerie and intricate melodies and a wild, irreverent spirit. Her lyrical content explores the introspective particularities of mental health, while using a broad lens to remark on the human condition. Marc’s dramatic electro-pop instrumentation gives the listener a glimpse into the inner-workings of their minds and hearts, making for a raucous and haunting experience.

Formed in 2019 and based out of Richmond, CA. The Troubs are a good-time party band with influences that range from post-punk, indie surf, midwest emo and jazz. Their latest EP In a While is available on all major streaming platforms.
