Musical Style: Jazz, Funk, Blues, Fusion

Blake Beitzel is an established musician based in Denver, but his story begins as a kid, playing funk and blues with his father’s group, Barflies, in Ohio. Join us at Dazzle, as the father (Jeff Beitzel, bass) and son (Blake Beitzel, guitar) team back up for a one time performance, joined by Barflies original drummer, Clint Alguire. This will be a special event you won’t want to miss, filled with high energy improvisation, infectious dancey grooves, and a heartfelt reunion of musical kinship!

Barflies is a funk / jazz group founded by Jeff Beitzel and his drummer, Clint Alguire. The music is incredibly unique, drawing influences from Weather Report, Medeski Martin Wood and Scofield, Billy Cobham, James Brown, and others.
