ASH POWELL
—
Accompanied by vintage tones, cinematic symphonies and honest acoustics, Bound to Nowhere is singer-songwriter Ash Powell’s introductory debut. While bringing her listeners on a beautiful journey through the landscapes and experiences of her life, Powell delivers contemporary Americana classics to the forefront of today’s music, blending influences of Brandi Carlile and Patti Smith with her uniquely discovered sense of self. The 28-year old queer musician was raised in Franklin, Tennessee but drifted through many places across the country since then, looking for answers but gaining the knowledge she needed without knowing it. Bound to Nowhere is about movement: the physical and metaphorical notion of moving from one place, person, chapter to another and carrying a piece of those individual adventures with you forever.

POST AGE
—
"Post Age" is an indie rock power trio. Marrying hypnotic Ginger Baker rhythms and Renaissance-inspired vocal harmonies through the magic of overdriven vacuum tubes, bandmates Ash Powell, Emily Studden, and Rob Dietrich enmesh their Nashville, Los Angeles, and Bay Area roots. If the subject is the pursuit of genuine human connection in an indifferent world, the passionate and woefully underpaid substitute faculty is Post Age.
