Join us at PopUp Chorus events to sing two harmony rich songs, generally one newer and one older, classic pop song. This is our formula for singing fun, unless it’s a themed event or the holiday, in which case, all rules go out the window!

Come sing your heart out with a room full of people who will soon become your friends. We create a judgement-free chorus in a night where all voices and abilities are welcome. It’s fun, easy, friendly and oh-so-relaxing!

What is PopUp Chorus?

Ask yourself these questions: Do you love to sing? Have you thought about joining a chorus but are too busy to commit? Do you sing in the shower or in your car? Did you sing in school or college, but don’t have an opportunity to sing now? If you answered "YES!" to any of these questions, you belong in PopUp Chorus! We’re an ad hoc chorus with no audition or ongoing commitment. We’re never the same group twice and everyone is welcome, regardless of singing ability. We do not believe bad voices!
At each PopUp Chorus event, leaders Marianne Cheng and Carter Hodge, teach harmonies and parts for both songs, (and it’s fine to just sing the melody!)  When everyone is ready, we do a dress rehearsal and end with a final filmed performance.

PopUp Chorus is your chance to feel the joy of singing with others. It’s easy and fun. Where else can you synchronize your heartbeat with others? That’s what happens when you sing in a group. Join us!
