Join us for Qawwali Dance Night! A benefit for KPFA Radio.

Peter Warren and Sukhawat Ali Khan continue their long-term collaboration with the soulful and rhythmically electric Raga Sun. 

Raga Sun’s, high energy, spiritual dance music originates in Sufi qawwali music and is mixed with African grooves.=

Peter Warren brings many years of experience performing with African and Indian artists with a unique percussion style.

Sukhawat Ali Khan is the son of vocal legend Salamat Ali Khan. He brings fun, and creativity to his concerts. 

Joanna Manqueros host music of the world at Kpfa. She has studied harmonium and vocals for many years and leads Kirtan with Rasa Leela.

John Kadyk plays bass clarinet for Rosa Lila. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays for Theatre productions as well as for the African band and the messengers.
