Gamelan Tunas Mekar

Based in Denver, Colorado, Gamelan Tunas Mekar is a community ensemble under the direction of Balinese composer and Artist-in-Residence I Made Lasmawan and family. The group presents traditional and new music for Balinese gamelan at music festivals, schools, private events, local venues, specially produced concerts, and by special invitation both internationally and nationally. Modeled after typical village groups found throughout Bali, and learning by traditional methods, this community ensemble provides American audiences the rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most fascinating cultures.

FACC Padayon Cultural

Cultural performance group for the Filipino-American Community of Colorado

Padayon Cultural is the Filipino-American Community of Colorado's (FACC) cultural performance group, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich traditions of the Philippines through dance, music, and storytelling. Rooted in the spirit of Padayon—a Visayan word meaning "to move forward" or "to continue"—the group embodies the resilience, strength, and continuity of Filipino heritage. With every performance, the group honors the wisdom of those who have preserved these traditions, ensuring that Filipino heritage is passed down to future generations. Beyond the stage, Padayon Cultural is committed to education and cultural outreach, collaborating with artists, educators, and community organizations to create meaningful experiences that celebrate the Filipino-American experience.

Thai Harmony

The Thai Harmony Traditional Arts Ensemble, founded in 2001 by dynamic young members of Colorado's Thai diaspora, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of Thai classical and folk arts. Through their workshops and concerts, they celebrate and share the beauty of Thai culture at various community ceremonies and multicultural festivals across the Rocky Mountain region.​

Gamelan Giri Parwata

Gamelan Giri Parwata performs traditional and contemporary works for gamelan selonding. A subsidiary of Gamelan Tunas Mekar.

Spirit of Cambodia Cultural Alliance

Showcasing the Cambodian Community in Colorado by way of dance, dragon boat and spirit. SOCCA not only allows the sharing of the Cambodian culture with the community at large, but also provides public recognition for the youth’s efforts, thus increasing their self-esteem and school performance. In addition, volunteers from the community assist with these groups. These activities provide a safe haven and have a positive influence on the participants, and also help preserve the unique Cambodian culture for future generations.
