Through his original songs and idiosyncratic reimaginings of the American folk vernacular, Odin Scott Coleman feels like the sort of musician your great-grandparents might have whooped and hollered for. Equipped with a banjo, a guitar, and a penchant for storytelling, Coleman spins a compelling yarn as he weaves together elements of country-blues, hard-traveling folk songs, ragtime, and mountain music. Though born and raised in the Great Pacific Northwest, in recent years Coleman has established a strong presence in LA’s thriving underground folk community. He has conducted masterclasses with Alan Parsons OBE and took 1st place at both the 2024 and the 2025 Topanga Banjo/Fiddle Festival.
