Carl Christensen & The Lake Flora Band have been a staple of the Ballard music scene for the last 3 years. Lake Flora Band have packed out venues and garnered a loyal fan base with their energetic blend of Country, Emo and Rock that supports Christensen’s thoughtful, witty, and often humorous lyrics. In January 2025 the band announced they would be parting ways after releasing their second album. Join us July 12th at Conor Byrne for the band’s penultimate show together, celebrating the release of their long awaited song “Cocaine Jaime.” This song tells the story of a retired drug dealer forced back into the game by economic hardships.
Kelsey Szefler is a Seattle based singer-songwriter, and released her first EP called “Grocery Store Flowers” in March 2024. She pulls from influences like Elliott Smith, The Weepies, Tegan and Sara, and Adrianne Lenker to write her tunes about anxiety, her dog, and the overwhelming joys and complications of queerness.
