Two original female-fronted bands, power-packed with long-time local legends!
Songwriter, poet, pianist, and host of Lancaster's Songwriters in the Raw concert series Jessica Smucker makes her first full band appearance at Tellus360 in more than a decade. Jessica Smucker & The End of Everything features long-time rhythm duo Mike Bitts (bass, synths) and Steve Brown (drums), of The Innocence Mission, and James Lipka (guitar) of Tractor Jerry and The Ogham Stones, performing lively rock arrangements of Jessica's original songs.
“Jessica Smucker is an original; a real artist with a cohesive message, a drop-dead gorgeous voice that is all her own. Her background in poetry gives her lyrics a specificity and depth. Each time I listen to ‘When I Was the Weather’ I hear something new, the way I do when I listen to Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan. She is that good.” – Nerissa Nields (The Nields)
"...An original take on the world, which is truly rare to find” – Ellis Paul
Kicking off the show is Zoey Noble is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and bassist widely acknowledged as a rising star in the region. Zoey's artistry reflects a blend of soul, rock, and jazz influences; her band is an energetic collaboration with her father, virtuoso guitarist Bob Noble, composer and guitarist Adam Kontis, and drummer Mark Fry. She performs as though the stage is where she truly belongs, and has been wowing audiences everywhere she goes with her big voice and easy charm. She released her debut album, Feel This Way, in March.
