Pianist and composer Cathlene Pineda brings her original music from Los Angeles, joined by bassist Ivan Johnson. Cathlene's writing is lyrical and spacious, music built on melody and close listening. Ivan is an upright bassist who played for twenty years in Los Angeles and now lives in Longmont, known for his steady rhythmic foundation and fierce bowed textures.

As a duo, piano and bass, they play Cathlene's original compositions alongside creative takes on holiday music: familiar songs opened up, slowed down, and heard in a new way. Quiet, intimate music for a December evening.
