Pianist and composer Helen Sung debuts her Oracles Quartet: a vivid set of musical portraits honoring the jazz legends who mentored her. Raised in Houston and trained as a classical pianist, Sung changed course after discovering jazz at the University of Texas, then joined the very first class of the Thelonious Monk Institute, learning directly from Ron Carter, Clark Terry, Wayne Shorter, Jimmy Heath, Barry Harris, and Herbie Hancock.
