Fieldress

Fieldress refuses to be boxed in. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes psychedelic indie pop—sometimes jazz? The Oakland-based project shapeshifts between genres, crafting dynamic, melancholic songs woven with haunting harmonies.

Founded in 2018 by Sasha Reynolds and Zach Farhney, Fieldress began as a two-piece, with both musicians intertwining delicate yet expressive guitar lines to create rich, textured soundscapes. Over time, the project evolved into a full-band exploration of sound, now featuring Sasha Reynolds (lead vocals, guitar), Omi Golucino (bass), Marissa Deitz (cello, vocals), Phil Di Leo (guitar, vocals), and Francisco Camacho (drums).

At the heart of Fieldress is Sasha Reynolds—a devoted creator. Her artistry extends beyond music, shaping every aspect of the project with an unmistakable personal touch. That craftsmanship is especially present in the upcoming self-released vinyl edition of It’s a Lot, a testament to the band’s hands-on approach to their art.

On June 27th, 2025, Fieldress releases their debut full-band album, It’s a Lot. To mark the occasion, they’re pressing it to vinyl for the first time—bringing fans into the process through a Kickstarter campaign to help make it happen.

eggcorn

The observer effect describes the phenomenon in which the act of observing changes that which is being observed. Bay Area artist, eggcorn uses the observer effect as the foundation for her vivid album by the same name. Taking an incisive look at the power that we have over ourselves and those around us, Observer Effect explores the inevitable ways in which we alter our own experience through reflection. The album comes out May 23, 2025 on Spirit House Records.

eggcorn is the moniker for songwriter Lara Hoffman who released her first single in 2020 as a conscious step forward into her career in music, which until then had largely been used as a therapeutic tool. With her new album, Hoffman preserves the vulnerability of her self-reflection while crystallizing her insights into infectious hooks that make the most nuanced realizations understandable. Observer Effect pivots from the synth-based, electronic realm of eggcorn’s first album Your Own True Love to pop-tinged chamber folk that deftly cushions the uncomfortable truths laid bare within each song. Observer Effect is not an easy record and Hoffman spares no one, not even herself. A music therapist with experience working in psychiatric facilities, she possesses the ability to hold herself as accountable as she does those around her, to ask herself why she feels the way she feels, and to push the boundaries of songwriting into an uncommon dimension.

Adam Spry

Since the release of his first EP in 2017, Adam Spry has proven himself to be a seasoned songwriter, fusing earnest lyricism with nostalgic compositions. “This is folky indie pop/rock, vulnerable yet powerful, with atmospheric arrangements and engaging vocals.” - Add To Wantlist Garnering comparisons to Emitt Rhodes, Fruit Bats and Hiss Golden Messenger, Spry’s songs embrace the waves of uncertainty that inevitably crash into us all, while simultaneously providing a reminder that the storm shall pass.

Adam Spry has been a mainstay of the Bay Area music scene, sharing the stage with artists such as Crash Test Dummies, The Franklin Electric, Rayland Baxter and The Mother Hips. Spry’s most recent output, the apocalyptic indie-folk-rock EP “Hotel Of The Dead” was recorded at Itinerant Home in Oakland, CA, Washateria Studios in Portland, OR, The Sound Store in Santa Cruz, CA and at home in Daly City, CA.

Other releases include “Chipping Away” (2024), “Painting By Numbers” (2024), “Slightly Off Kilter” (2023), “Bonanza” (2020) and “One Dimensional” (2017).

Spry has performed, recorded and toured with various projects in the Bay Area and beyond; including Heaven’s Club (Shiv Mehra of Deafheaven), Grace Leer (American Idol Season 18 Top 10), Catch Prichard, The Free Key Choir, Tom Conneely & Birds of Paradise, Kalinders, The Live Oaks and more.
