All good things must come to an end and Diet Lite is no different.
After nine plus years, thousands of hours, just as many miles, and a whole lot of sweat, Diet Lite has decided to pack it up. When Kelson Kuzdas, Evan Marsalli and Max Niemann formed the band in a dilapidated college house in Oshkosh, WI, they weren’t sure DL would even live past graduation. After a post-grad year blown in different directions, the fellas reconvened in their newly adopted home of Milwaukee, WI. There they got to work. And boy did they hit it hard.
Simply put, “Diet Lite… defined Milwaukee’s post-COVID indie-rock scene” (Milwaukee Record). The band’s local ascendency started as early as government mandates would allow, and for three or four years they never let off the gas: three albums, multiple EPs and singles, national tours, stops at SXSX, Mile of Music and Summerfest, all while consistently filling some of the biggest rooms Milwaukee has to offer. Now, a year out from their most recent release, 2025’s Double Wide Yukon, the boys are ready for a break. Call it quitting while you're ahead, getting older, or any multitude of reasons. In a nutshell, it just felt like the right time. And what better way to celebrate one of the city's most beloved bands of the decade than with an absolute banger of a farewell show. They’ll be joined by a slew of their best friends (not to mention some of the fiercest bands around): Totally Cashed, Shoobie, Chapped Lips & Oh Well, OK.
Don’t miss out on this last chance to see Diet Lite. Who knows if you’ll ever have another chance…
