Central City Opera presents Drag Me to the Opera! Join festival artists from our mainstage and CCO community in celebration of Pride Month. Unleash your inner diva with a preview of the Central City Opera festival season, selections from opera, musical theatre, an aria lip sync contest, and more. Dress up or come as you are.

Starlux

Starlux is a live music act based in Denver, CO. Founded by the original three Stars, DJ and pianist Buddy Bravo, vocalist and emcee Richi Ramos, and electric violinist Vio Sykes, this collective has produced show-stopping musical experiences for themed events and parties all over town. Starlux has had the joy of collaborating with venues like Champagne Tiger, X Bar, Town Hall Collaborative, and Two Moons, as well as organizations like Missfitts Entertainment and Sapphic Social Club, and they look forward to opening for Drag Me to the Opera for Central City Opera!

Richi Ramos is a Filipino-Chinese-American emcee, vocalist, and singer-songwriter who moved to Denver after touring with Whiskey Dynamite, a neo-Western, burlesque, cabaret production as their host and featured singer Clyde. Richi has truly done it all over the last thirteen years, performing at amusement parks, on cruise ships in Australia, Asia, and the Caribbean, weddings all over the US, festival stages for Pride, and the club scene of Kansas City, MO. Some of their notable credits include being featured on America's Got Talent and Let's Make a Deal as a contestant, and modeling for brands such as Smirnoff, Dell, Intel, Planet Fitness, and Courvoisier. Their latest endeavor was dancing for Trixie Mattel's Solid Pink Disco right here in Denver, CO. They are the proud founder and creative director of the House of Ishan, a small business dedicated to curating AANHPI, POC, and/or queer-centered productions for the community at large, as well as providing hosting, vocal, dancing, and event production services for your company or organization. They are honored to be co-producing Drag Me to the Opera with CCO.

Gila Moonstar is an Indonesian-American Denver based drag queen that strives to serve top-notch entertainment and excellence. Classically trained in music and theatre, Gila has been professionally performing on live stages all across the globe, land, and sea. Gila featured as a contestant on the 2023 Pride Month all drag queen episode of NBC’s Weakest Link. She is also a resident drag queen Diva on the Virgin Voyages ships cruising through the Mediterranean and Caribbean spreading queer campy excellence for the past two years. Gila’s also has collaborated with notable RuPaul’s Drag Race stars - making her debut with the Colorado Symphony and singing with Thorgy Thor and the Thorchestra at Boettcher Concert Hall AND opening for Latrice Royale at the Aggie Theater. Her most recent engagement was the honor of co-hosting and performing in the International Drag Fest in Helsinki, Finland. You may walk away from a Gila Moonstar performance saying “I don’t know what hell that was, but it sure was fun”! She’s here to check all of your horoscopes, it’s Gila Moonstar! 

Krisa Gonna is a community fire starter. She’s not following footsteps; she’s leaving flaming tracks. Krisa is the mother of a movement here in Colorado. Originally from Brazil, Krisa adopted Colorado as her home in 2016, becoming a US citizen in 2022. Multi-hyphenate, she knows no boundaries when it comes to self expression, beauty and vision. She is a show producer, host, activist, and fierce drag queen, has featured as a TedX speaker, and is the Mother of the House of Gonna. She recently won the DIVA for Colorado Breakthrough Artist of 2025 and is YOUR Brazilian Goddess, Krisa Gonna!

"JUICCY" Misdemeanor is a native of St. Louis, MO. A Professional Dancer by day, Drag Entertainer by night! Young and vivacious, they moved to CO a little over 8 years ago to be a part of the CleoParkerRobinson Dance Ensemble. Since the move, they debuted in the scene of COLORADO drag, during the Pandemic Summer of 2020. (while not touring with the professional company). Now, as a working entertainer, she strives to make the community and the entertainment family as open, inclusive, respectful and full of love as she possibly can while also producing spectacular and high energy shows. Recently celebrating 4 Years in Drag, and will celebrate 5 this June 2025, and working the MISDEMEANOR household name, they couldn’t be more overjoyed with what is to come from and within their drag! Since the start, they have come onto the DRAG scene by storm; twirling on stages, giving love and energy, and putting on a great shows…. At now 4 or 5 of our local community establishments (X Bar, TRACKS Denver, #Vybe, Triangle Denver, etc.) JUICCY is the current reigning title holder of the MISS PEACH Pageant 2023, the current reigning Colorado Snow Queen at Large 2024 and NATIONAL Snow Queen at Large 2025.
